Hi all,

We've just uploaded some upgrades to the Bango Analytics services.

For users who use tracking links (campaigns / adverts / etc.) you should now look to add &register=n to the URL provided by Bango.

The default behaviour for users accessing a Bango link who cannot be automatically identified is for them to be presented with a one-time registration process. Using register=n bypasses this requirement and ensures an uninterrupted flow for the user - ideal when used for tracking via Analytics. If you absolutely must identify all users and have their correct User ID assigned, you can change this parameter to register=y. Note that this is the default behaviour!!!

More details can be found on the Manage Links page when you have selected your tracking link.

For users who use page tracking (site analysis) you should look to change the ?ref= parameter to ?page=. We recently added the facility to generate code to log external referrers, and this was passed through the referrer parameter - to keep the url clean, rather than have ref and referrer parameters, we now have page and referrer. We are still supporting the ref parameter, but you should look to change your integration to use the new parameters.

If you haven't seen the referral logging code, check out the Common questions and the new video added to the "Get your page tracking code" page in the Management Tools.

Cheers,
